Have you ever shopped at Menard's? They really don't sell anything worth making a special trip any other day of the year, let alone on Thanksgiving. Even if they were open on Thanksgiving day they wouldn't have very many customers. It's easy for them to be closed Thanksgiving and call it an act of kindness. HAHA!

Is your furnace running? Ah, the warmth!
It never ceases to amaze me how only a couple pieces of dry oak can heat this drafty old shack for many hours! There is just something about having your feet up by the fire on a cold day that makes you feel good all the way through!

Incredible video!
My favorite wintertime constellation!
The longer, cooler nights of late autumn bring one of the great
skywatching treats of the year: the return of Orion to prime time
viewing hours. The hunter is in good view in the east by about 9 p.m.,

SOLAR FLEET PICKS UP COMET ISON:
Because NASA's twin STEREO probes are designed to
observe the sun, they can see sundiving comets even
when the glare becomes intense. Yesterday, Comet
ISON joined Earth, Mercury, and Comet Encke in the
field of view of STEREO-A's Heliospheric Imager. Comet ISON is plunging toward the
sun and brightening as it heads for a perilous close
encounter on Nov. 28th.
