From personal experience, if you can't afford regular health insurance, you cannot just go to the emergency room and they will help you - unless you require EMERGENCY care. Otherwise, if it is not an emergency-type situation, the EMERGENCY room turns you away and tells you to make an appointment with a doctor. Whatever political pamphlet that bit of misinformation came from....

Snowshoeing etc is exactly what I tried to tell the dumbasses to do for wintertime enjoyment to begin with! And yet I'm the dumb one?

Step one of making firewood.

This morning on the shop floor of the firewood factory:

There is just something I love about being out here in the woods while it's snowing. So peaceful and quiet.

Too much ice under the latest snowfall, can't get out in the woods. Got stuck within feet of the backyard.

Am still wondering when a certain slandered sister is going to finish getting a certain abandoned house ready for sale? I would think with all the 'helpful friends' she has that they would have done the work for her already. But, I have been over there three times in the last couple weeks to pump the flood out of the basement and not a single christian footprint on the doorstep. That's the trouble with christians; whine about everything, do nothing, and pray for somebody else to come along and take care of it for them....

Really, it isn't that I don't care, no wait......that's exactly what it is.

Wow! Almost hot out here in the woods. Not used to these short winters.

Today was another busy day. I'm about to set a milestone too. So far this winter I have sold 99 loads of wood. I've only got about enough left for one more load! I'll have to get out there in the woods and haul more up, whether it's below zero temps or not.

Today's checklist:
Milk cows: √
Laundry: √
Bring 3 loads of wood up and stack it on porch for the next month of heating the house: √
Clean chimney: √
Take out ashes: √
Deliver 4 loads of wood at noon: √
Sell load of wood for customer pick up in the evening: √
Go to Baraboo for a few supplies: √
Rest for a few hours and do it all over again tomorrow:.....
