March?! Already!
It's hard to believe it's March already. I didn't even get all the wood cut that I need to.

Beautiful Day In The Woods
but the pile that I'm trying to haul up is still all frozen together. Takes a long time to hammer each piece apart and put it in the wagon. So far I've managed to get one small load up. I was surprised that I made it through the drifts along the field without getting stuck, and no tire chains. Soon to come to an end though, more freezing rain tonight and tomorrow.....

Worn Out
My fuckin gloves get worn smooth and then I drop the pieces of wood. It takes so much longer when I have to pick up every piece of wood three times. I'm finally done though.

Made It Back
to the yard from the office with a very small load. I also made some repairs to the wagon. I couldn't get the hunk of plastic to fit back in where it belongs on the four wheeler, so I just put duct tape over the hole instead.
In other news, my stupid Facebook is getting slightly better to look at. I'm slowly dumping all the political losers from my friends list. It's the same ones that constantly bitched about politics for the last eight years and now that Obama is gone they're still finding stupid shit to bitch about. Delete.....

Today
laundry, fix the hole in the back of my four wheeler, then try to haul the last little bit of the pile I was working on up to the yard. Without tire chains.....

Lots Of Problems
Tried to get a load of wood up to the yard this afternoon. Got stuck. Broke the carrier off the front of the trailer. Somehow the trailer came unhooked and smashed a big hole in the compartment door on the back of my four wheeler. And broke a tire chain. I give up. The forester expects me to cut a year's worth of firewood in the three most difficult months of the year, in between all my other jobs and duties. I don't know how I'm ever going to get caught up.

Something New
I learned something new this winter. The Astro and the S10 don't use the same brakes, suspension, and wheels. The Astro has the same parts as full size cars and trucks. The S10 has little Camaro and Malibu parts.
Snow
It snowed pretty hard for awhile. Karen should be getting off work soon. I hope she doesn't get too scared driving home. I'll stick around the house until she's here. Not that I could go rescue her anyway, because she has our only car right now!
Laundry Laundry Laundry
9:00 already and I'm still doing laundry. I'm not sure how one old woman can have so many dirty clothes. I'm going to try to haul up the wood that I cut and split since the last snow and ice. It isn't frozen together in a big clump and should be easier to handle. When the laundry gets done.......

Rebel XS
I dug out the old Rebel XS and was playing with it. It still works. I'm not sure what I would use it for these days though. I had the 75-300 III lens on it. Probably one of the worst lenses ever made! The thing is pretty awful all the way around. The body takes pretty good photos for what it is though.
Uniden BC125AT
Really liking the BC125AT. The old RS PRO-164 handheld got a loud squeal during receive.
Wheezer
So far this morning the wheezing seems to be better. At one point yesterday Daisy would hear me breathing and bark out the window! HAHA! I don't know what she thought it was. She barks at almost anything.

Lots To Do
Another migraine has been trying it's damnedest to take hold this morning. I've got lots to do at the office. Since I quit trying to haul any up to the yard, I've got cutting and splitting to do.
Hard to believe January is almost gone. February is a short month, then it should be starting to get warm enough to put some wheels back on the old truck and move it into the garage. Hopefully I can get it running again. Sharing one car is difficult. If something happens to the van I have no way of rescuing her.
Karen's first day back to work after two weeks off. It didn't go quite as we planned, with the truck breaking down and whatever, we didn't go anywhere. Didn't even get down to Fern Dell Gorge like we wanted. Well, we'll get there on one of her days off soon, before the icicles melt.

Struggling Today
Still fighting that terrible cold, or whatever it is. Wheezing.
I tried hauling some more wood up to the yard with the tire chains on, but the piles in the woods are all froze together and froze to the ground. I chipped it away, one piece at a time with the spud bar, until I had a smallish load to haul up. If that forester that says I can only cut dead oak trees in the middle of winter had suddenly shown up I would have hit the fucker right in the mouth.
Anyway, I'm back to cutting and splitting and just leaving it lay in the woods until Spring. Then the forester will probably be pissed because I might run over an oak sapling and spread fucking disease. Fuck him.
