Probable case of Swine Flu has been confirmed as the H1N1 Virus

Adams County Health Officials have received notice from the State Department of Health that the probable case of Swine Flu has been confirmed as the H1N1 Virus. Public Health Officer Linda McFarlin states that the adult male has recovered and is feeling well. Adams County Health Officials are working to limit the spread of the virus and encourage all to continue practicing personal protection measures. Symptoms of the current H1N1 Virus are similar to seasonal flu, but may be more severe. Symptoms include fever, headache, dry cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, body aches and/or tiredness, and in some cases, nausea and diarrhea.
