I noticed that Wisconsin raised the annual state bike trail pass this year to $20. We used to buy it, when it was $12. It was worth it, because the daily pass is $4. We only had to go to the trail 3 times to break even. Not anymore. I'll never buy an annual pass at that price. That would be $40 for my wife and I, and who knows if we'll get there five times this year to make it worthwhile.

This state sure can think of ways to keep raising the fees for everything, but with no increased benefits. Reminds me of the bullshit they told us when they raised the ATV registration from $12 to $30! Turns out it was for nothing, besides greed.

  1. 20 dollars? That is terrible. How much is the daily pass?Suppose that is 8 dollars now!
Don't get me started on all the things that used to be cheap and fun.

Atv registration fees were just a scam.Watva scammed the State Of Wisconsin and we are suffering because of it.They gotta be awfully good bull shitters.

  2. The daily pass is still $4.

Yep, it was a scam, raising the ATV fee. No new trails, and as the topic above shows just the opposite, the state has been trying to eliminate trails ever since. Now WATVA has a fight on their hands, just to save face after pushing for the stupid fee increase in the name of new trails. If we lose anymore trails, the only fair thing for WATVA to do to save their reputation would be to push for a LOWERING of the fee. Hopefully back down to the original $12, or even less!
