News From The Observatory

Still too much snow to get out in the woods and cut firewood, just like last year. I've got plenty, but am really starting to miss being out there!

Weather still too cold and cloudy to do much stargazing. What little I have done has been with the binoculars. No pictures or telescope lately. I really want to get some pictures of the Great Orion Nebula. It's so cool! If you've got a good pair of binoculars, head out and take a look at Orion's sword. Look all around Orion for that matter, you won't be disappointed.

The dogs and I are still taking our daily walks, albeit not in the woods.

The Neighborhood Birds

Goldie and Snoopy on one of our daily walks.

The Barn Shuttle - 1996 Polaris Trailboss. Note the tire chains and "Proud Member of Castle Rock Family ATV Club" sticker. With the tire chains on, it will go anywhere the 4wd goes, but won't turn as good!

The Cows

Snow, snow, snow. We've had a short break from it (freezing rain replaced it last storm) but more on the way tomorrow should get us back into the old routine.
