The winter warm-up last weekend resulted in poor trail conditions at Black River State Forest.

All ATV and Snowmobile trails in the state forest and Jackson County will be closed on Thursday, February 5 due to the warm weather predicted for the weekend. Trails will reopen once temperatures return below freezing.

All ATV AND SNOWMOBILE TRAILS WILL BE CLOSED AS OF FEBRUARY 5th. FORECASTED TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE 38 DEGREES - THIS WILL HOPEFULLY PRESERVE THE REMAINING BASE. THE SITUATION WILL BE RE-EVALUATED ON FEBRUARY 11TH.
