Took these from the driveway the other night! I thought the hair on my arms was standing up a little, but didn't know until I reviewed what was on my camera!

I always wanted to try to get some nice pictures of lightning like that. These pictures would make a nice background on your desktop.

  2. That's exactly what I did with the fifth one from the top, using it for my desktop (it's better quality than what's posted here though.

Anyway Junior, your camera does video, right? That's what I did to get those pictures. Just let it roll while pointing it where the lightning was coming from. Then I captured the bast frames later on. That's why I didn't even realize how wicked the lightning was until after I looked at it one frame at a time. It didn't look like that in person!

  3. Daena!

Have you heard of AVI video? That is what kind of movies my camera takes.

I kind of wondered if you used the movie part but wasn't sure. That would be a little easier way to capture that kind of pictures

  4. Yes, AVI is Windows Media video. The software that came with your camera should be able to work with it, or maybe windows Media Player, but I don't know much about that. Play with it and see what it does.

My camera takes MP4 video, then I usually convert it to MPG for using on the web and with my DVD burner software because most stuff doesn't work with the MP4 files yet. I could convert it to AVI, but the AVI files are too large to work with on the web.
